Purpose: Transportation of any light categorized equipment, as well as carrying of passengers. CN235 can also do supply drops if required.
Qualifications required for this squadron: Completion of Central Flying School Course, and 5 hours on each of the aircraft used in this squadron, with a evaluation flight as mandatory before earning the squadron badge. Discretionary decision can also be made by Air Command to place a pilot in this squadron

(Medium Transport)

C-130 BZ Hercules
Purpose: Transportation of any medium categorized equipment, as well as carrying of troops. Can also be utilized to do cargo drops and parrabat drops. Can also carry various army vehicles.
Qualifications required for this squadron: Completion of Central Flying School Course, and 10 hours on the aircraft used in this squadron, with a evaluation flight as mandatory before earning the squadron badge. Discretionary decision can also be made by Air Command to place a pilot in this squadron
60 Squadron
(Heavy Transport)

Base: Waterkloof Air Force Base
Aircraft: Boeing 707
Airbus A400M
Purpose: Transportation of any Heavy categorized equipment, as well as carrying of troops. Can also be utilized to do cargo drops. Boeing 707 can be used for carrying of passengers, and equipment, and can also be converted to do Air-to-air Refueling on the Cheetah's and Gripens. Airbus A400M can transport a fully assembled Oryx and Rooivalk and can also be converted to do Air-to-air refueling on the Cheetah's and Gripens.
